高専に奉職してから、土だけでなく水、構造と、3つの力学を順に担当してきました。講義の改善と言えば、板書ではなく講義ノートをプロジェクターに映すぐらいで、そのほかはあまり変えることができていません。数少ない約束の他は、いろいろな問題に取り組みながら、感覚を養う法則で進めています。地道な演習の繰り返し教育以上の効果的な方法には、今のところ見つけられていません。

① 武芸十八般‥✖️昔、武人に必要だとした十八種の武芸。Eighteen general martial arts
② 楼門‥○やぐらのある門。二階造りの門。tower gate
③ 雪下駄‥○雪の多い地方で冬に履く下駄で、滑り止めの金具が打たれています。These wooden clogs are worn in the winter in regions with a lot of snow and have metal fittings to prevent slipping.
④ 五百八十年七回り‥✖️ 580年と、ひと回り60年の干支（えと）の七回りで、1000年になるところを意味する言葉です。長寿を祝ったり、喜ばしいことが末長く続くことを願ったりする際に用いられます。 This word means 580 years and seven cycles of the 60-year zodiac cycle, which makes 1000 years. It is used to celebrate longevity and to pray for happy things to continue for a long time.
⑤ 黄泉竈食ひ‥✖️よもつへぐい、黄泉（よみ）の国のかまどで煮炊きした食物を食べることを意味します。It means eating food cooked in the hearth of the underworld.
⑥ プロレタリアート‥○資本主義社会で、生産手段を持たず、生活のために自分の労働力を売って賃金を得る階級。In a capitalist society, the class that does not own the means of production and who earn wages by selling their labor in order to survive.
